Just watched Adil Rashid playing in the game between Yorkshire and Highveld Lions in the Champions League T/20. He went for 12 and over across three overs. You just look at the bowling figures and you can see why wrist spin is viewed in the way that it is and has been in the past. Even I was watching thinking "Adil mate, I've never gone for those kind of figures" even in my darkest hours and yet you're being paid to be a pro - bowler and coming up with this rubbish.
I wonder what he does in training and who is looking after him? He's known for bowling short and flat, but in this game he was bowling wides down the offside as well as bowling on bad lengths, his pitch map was all over the shop. Is there any hope for the poor bloke - he must have gone back to the sheds as I have done in the past thinking - 'Jeez - that game was lost because of my bowling'.

Watching Adil, the another night made me very sad. The fact they are so scared of bowling leg breaks in a T20 match that they rather bowl rubbish. It suggests that leg spin is on the way out. I certainly hope not as it is the best form of bowl and it will be the greatest tragedy in the cricket if it disappears.

But in the same game Faf Du Plesis strolls up with some of his part time Legspin and gets a wicket first ball and it's the bloke that was looking to put them out of the game! The ball was rubbish as well - a long hop! Yeah - hang in there Adil - try and get Stuart Macgill to show you some stuff and perhaps get you back on track!
